Fire, Passion, and The Fighter

Some people know what fuels their fire at a young age and some find that fire through trial and error. After a bought with Tae Kwon Do, Christopher Rose, age 21 decided that the sport of Muay Thai better fitted his aggressive nature. Chris grew up in Winston-Salem and watched Muay Thai fights on TV which made him even more determined to become the best fighter he could. He has a solid training family including the feisty female fighter Crystal “Lil Miss Sunshine Parrish”, Ground Control BBJ, in which Chris found instruction from wonderful professional trainers Jeff Cope (jujitsu specialist) and David Overby (wrestling), friend Maria Lawson Parrish, and of course Strong Girl Fitness trainer Kim Coronel.
In the last eight weeks Chris has stepped up his conditioning to a level which is marked by sweat, fatigue and the thirst to win. His workouts vary from Metabolic Effect training, hill sprints with weighted vest and carrying a heavy bag, to kettle bell circuits just to name a few.
Gone are the days of cheeseburgers and beer. Chris has been eating a clean nutrient dense diet to fuel his rigorous training.
With the final days of preparation coming to an end he will face his opponent Kirk Rogers, May 14th at “Rock the Dock” in Lake Norman, NC.
It takes more than a passion to step into the cage. It takes mental and physical strength to succeed. Good luck Chris!
